Get Creative: Powers in community activism

Thursday 7 May 2020

Inspired by Reclaim Holloway‘s creative approaches to campaigning for the Women’s Building in the redevelopment of the former site of Holloway Women’s Prison (1852-2016), our Gallery Assistant Kyle has created a video about Community Activism. He has some ideas on how you can produce something collectively about a cause that’s close to your heart, and asks you to send it in to create a digital community mural. If you prefer, you can also follow these PDF instructions.

Share your results on social media by tagging us on Instagram @stanleypicker or Twitter @pickergallery or by sending us your images to stanleypickergallery@kingston.ac.uk to show us your work.

Kyle Campbell-Pope is an aspiring scriptwriter and 3rd year BA Fine Art student at Kingston School of Art. He leads the Gallery’s after-school Art Clubs at King Athelstan and St Luke’s Primary Schools in Kingston.
