Stanley Picker Gallery is pleased to be hosting Woman, Life, Freedom, a group exhibition curated by Sinai Noor, displaying work by artists and students from Kingston University.
Woman, Life, Freedom features photography documenting diaspora protests in support of the courageous Iranian people during the Women Life Freedom movement. The event is a tribute to the resilience and bravery of Iranian people—especially women—as well as a commemoration of those who lost their lives on flight PS752, including Niloufar, a Kingston University alumna, and her husband Saeed Tahmasebi Khademasadi. Along with other artists and students, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of freedom and empowerment for women in Iran and highlight the global
community’s responsibility to support their struggle for justice.
The opening event on 04 April is accomanied by special musical and art performances. The event starts at 4 PM at Knights Park, Kingston University Room TK 504, for a talk with guest speakers. Afterwards, the group will head towards the Stanley Picker Gallery. While the event is on April 4th.
