Get Creative: Thumbs Up It’s Thursday

“This example was made for my family. The crest is illustrated by our first name initials, the spaces were left blank to add photograph collages of my mum and grandparents.”

Stanley Picker Gallery is pleased to be participating once more in Thumbs up it’s Thursday – a programme of free activity for primary aged children and their families which takes place across different venues in the Royal Borough of Kingston, every Thursday during school holidays.

For February half term, Gallery Assistant Kyle has designed a ‘Lovers Crest’ activity which invites people to design and dedicate a personalised crest to their Valentine – a friend, partner, a family member, hero – using materials found around the home. Download the template here, and either print it out or use digital platforms such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Paint and Procreate to create your design.

We’d love to see your creations! Please share your results on social media by tagging us on Instagram @stanleypicker or Twitter @pickergallery  including #ThumbsUpItsThursday, or by sending us your images to stanleypickergallery@kingston.ac.uk
