‘A Tale of a Tub Maker’ takes audience members to the Edo period Japan, captivating imaginations in a traditional rakugo style storytelling. The piece will be performed by Tomoko Komura, a London-based actress with experience of staging shows for children at multiple venues, including the Young V&A and Oxford Playhouse. At the end, all are welcome to stay for a short drumming workshop inspired by the tale. The Gallery will remain open to the public 11am – 5pm with our current exhibition, Under Construction.

This event forms part of the Ura Matsuri tour of England. Ura Matsuri is a festival to celebrate UK-based East and South-East Asian artists’ work.
