Teddington & Tiffin Schools, Women’s Institute, Bradbury Centre & Gallery Art Club
On my mind… is a special exhibition of artworks made by students from Year 9 Teddington School, Year 10 Tiffin Boy’s School and our Saturday Art Club, the Women’s Institute (Worcester Parkers and Hampton Federations) and members of the Bradbury Centre, who participated in a series of creative workshops inspired by the contemporary practices of past and present Stanley Picker Fellows, including acclaimed sculptor Nicole Wermers – whose unusual exhibition of sculpture and photography, The London Shape, is currently installed in the main gallery – and designer-in-residence, Fabien Cappello.
Throughout the programme, with workshops tailored to meet the interests and requirements of individual groups, participants learnt about Fellows’ practice, influences and creative processes, while sharing their individual interpretations, ideas and personal preoccupations through listening activities, free-writing and drawing, collage, sculpture and discussion. On my mind… showcases a selection of the outcomes. The Gallery team have been intrigued and impressed by all, and hope that you will join us in celebrating their achievements.
