Contributing to Childrens’ Art Week 2016

The Stanley Picker Gallery is pleased to support Stop, Go, Go! an exhibition of unconventionally painted and sculpted artworks made by fourteen young talents from Bedelsford School in Kingston upon Thames as part of Childrens’ Art Week 2016.
Bedelsford is an outstanding special school which aims to provide innovative education and a challenging environment for pupils aged 2 to 19, who have a wide range of physical disabilities, including profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex health needs. The artists exhibiting in The Lobby at Stanley Picker Gallery are all members of a group called Communication Support Base which is facilitated by artist Samuel Buttner whose experience of using mark-making to express and develop emotional literacies is evident here. Alongside the wall-based pieces we will be presenting a portfolio of works in progress that further illustrate individuals’ experimental processes.
The Gallery team have been impressed by all at Bedelsford, and hope that you will join us in celebrating their achievements.
